OUR STORY

7 Deadly Scents or “7DS” was founded in order to “ignite” a change not only within the candle industry, but society as a whole. We saw there was a need for a high-quality candle that not only smelled and looked good, but was affordable. At the same time, we saw the need to create positive change within our communities. In a world currently filled with so much darkness and hate, we hope to be the light that shines through.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to empower people to give back, whether it be within their own communities or outside. We feel that 7DS has the ability to be more than just a candle company but a platform where we introduce small and medium sized charities to the population at large. The goal is to "ignite" a spark within each and every person to help give back and become more aware of the opportunities they have to make a positive impact. The more we educate people about these charities, the more we hope to bring the overall level of awareness up.

OUR COMPANY

7DS produces candles that flip the idea of “sin” on its head. Throughout the year, we identify and partner with local, small and medium sized charities relative to one of the 7 deadly sins (Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride). For example, if the sin for the month is “Greed,” 7DS will partner with a charity that helps those struggling financially. For each candle sold throughout the year, 7DS plans to donate $3 towards the chosen charity of the month. This money can be extremely beneficial to charities who struggle with operation and overhead costs.

Each candle is hand poured in Los Angeles and is made of natural coconut & soy wax paired with an artisan fragrance. The candle jar itself is completely reusable/recyclable and the packaging in which it arrives in will be completely recyclable as well, creating as little waste as possible. We wanted to create the perfect “vessel” to tell our story and we believe we’ve done just that. These candles not only fill a room with a beautiful aroma, they tell a story and educate our consumers about charities that are making a difference in their communities.
